Dr. Frank Van Praet speaks in Benalmádena at the 20-year anniversary event of the cardiac surgery programme at Vithas Xanit Internacional.
Dr. Frank Van Praet is part of the invited faculty for 20 Years of Open Heart Surgery at Vithas Xanit Internacional, a commemorative scientific event taking place in Benalmádena on 23 April 2026.
The conference marks two decades of cardiac surgery at Vithas Xanit Internacional and brings together national and international specialists to reflect on the evolution of the specialty, current techniques, and future directions. Public event information describes the hospital as a regional reference centre for cardiac and vascular surgery in southern Spain.
Dr. Van Praet's lecture, "Keyhole and robotic cardiac surgery: the future is now", is scheduled for 18:50 to 19:05, placing the focus squarely on less invasive approaches and robot-assisted techniques in contemporary heart surgery.
The programme also includes talks on cardiology advances, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, aneurysm treatment, valve repair, the Ross procedure and PEARS technique, followed by a closing tribute and networking reception.
